Privacy Policy

Foldshot collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no third-party SDK, and the app makes no network calls of its own.

The camera

Foldshot uses the camera to show and record the fold effect. Video is processed entirely on your device, in memory, and is never written anywhere unless you take a photo or record a clip. Nothing is uploaded. The few seconds of recent frames that the Lag and Ripple effects need are held in memory only, and are discarded when you switch away from those effects or close the app.

Your photos

Foldshot never requests permission to read your photo library. Importing a picture uses Apple's system photo picker, which hands Foldshot the single image you chose and nothing else. Saving uses add-only permission, so Foldshot can add a photo to your library and cannot read what is already there.

What is written into your exports

Orientation is preserved. Location metadata is stripped from every export. No watermark, branding or identifier is written into any photo or clip, at any tier.

Motion

On iPhones without a hinge, Foldshot reads device motion to drive the effect. The readings are used in the moment to compute the effect and are never stored or transmitted.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Foldshot never sees your payment details, and Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.

Children

Foldshot is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it, and any change that affected what the app collects would also change its App Store privacy label.
